National museum of Black baseball history at 18th and Vine
Description
Former Negro leagues players including Buck O'Neil helped found the museum in 1990, and it moved into its 10,000 square foot home at 18th and Vine in 1997. Exhibits trace African American baseball from the 1800s through integration, near where Rube Foster formed the Negro National League in 1920. Bob Kendrick has served as president since 2011.
