Philly Vegan is a family-owned, Black-owned spot in Manchester serving plant-based takes on the Philly cheesesteak, plus dairy-free milkshakes made with house vanilla ice cream. Founder Samuel Veney also launched a pay-what-you-can initiative that other Black-owned Virginia restaurants have joined. A food trailer brings the menu to festivals around Richmond.
