About the business
Seattle's oldest Black church, serving the Central District since 1886
Description
FAME began in 1886 as a Sunday school meeting in members' homes, became a church in 1890 and moved into its 14th Avenue building in 1912. The building is a Seattle landmark.
The church's work reaches beyond Sunday, with housing, education programs and Head Start classes. A South Campus meets in Auburn.
Worship: Sunday 11:00 am in Seattle (also streamed on Facebook and YouTube); Sunday 9:00 am at the Auburn campus.
