Hakim's Bookstore & Gift Shop on South 52nd Street in West Philadelphia is one of the oldest Black-owned bookstores in the country, founded by Dawud Hakim and now run by his daughter Yvonne Blake. It focuses on African American history, philosophy, culture and children's books, sells online, and ships books to people in prison.
