Andrew Ashmeade came to Tampa from Christiana, Jamaica to attend USF and has run Jerk Hut since 1993. The kitchen smokes its own jerk and serves jerk chicken with Andrew's Redd Sauce, oxtail stew, pan-fried red snapper and coconut shrimp. The Fowler Avenue original also has a beach club space, with more locations around Tampa.
