Description

The Carr Center is a Detroit arts nonprofit founded in 1991 as the Arts League of Michigan, with a mission to preserve and present African and African American cultural arts. It runs a visual arts gallery in the Park Shelton in Midtown, a jazz-heavy concert series, residencies and arts education programs, and is led by president Oliver Ragsdale Jr.
