Description
Founded in 1964 by Black pastors in the Central District as the Central Area Motivation Program, the organization took its current name in 2018 to honor civil rights leader Roberta Byrd Barr.
From the historic Firehouse 23 it runs a food bank, energy assistance, financial empowerment programs and the Good Black Birth Initiative.
