Description
Stark & Legum opened on Granby Street in 1924 and grew from a pawn shop into one of Norfolk's best-known men's haberdasheries, now in the Neon District. Brothers Michael J. Benton and Dr. Harrison Benton own the store today; Michael trained for 15 years under Sonny Legum before taking over. Shoppers come for wool felt fedoras, porkpies, bowlers and straw hats, along with designer suits, shoes and accessories, and the shop ships nationwide.
