Sugar's Place is a downtown Jackson soul food cafe run by Glenda Barner and her son, chef Donovan Barner, and named for Glenda's mother. Since 2008 it has served breakfast and blue plate lunches like chicken and waffles, fried catfish, and red beans and rice. Sugar's Catering handles events.
