Description
Sylvia Woods opened this soul food restaurant on Lenox Avenue in 1962 with a handful of tables, and it grew into one of Harlem's best known gathering spots. The menu covers fried chicken, smothered turkey wings, barbecue ribs, fried fish and classic Southern sides. It received a James Beard Foundation America's Classics Award in 2024.
