Founded in 1950 at 28th Avenue and South Jackson Street, Tabernacle is a longtime anchor of Seattle's Black community. Under Rev. Dr. Robert L. Manaway Sr., pastor since 1983, it runs outreach in food assistance, housing support, youth programs, re-entry and services for unhoused neighbors.
