Chef Erick Williams opened Virtue on East 53rd Street in late 2018 to cook the Southern food he grew up with. The menu runs from biscuits with pimento cheese and gumbo to blackened catfish with Carolina gold rice and short ribs. Williams won a James Beard Award in 2022 and the restaurant holds a Michelin Bib Gourmand.
