Gates Bar-B-Q was started in 1946 by George Gates and is still run by the Gates family, with several metro locations including this one on Main Street. Orders are placed at the counter for ribs, burnt ends, sliced beef and sandwiches with the house sauce. The family also sells its sauces and rubs by mail.
