Gumbo Social is a soul food restaurant on 3rd Street in the Bayview built around gumbo made with chicken, sausage, okra and spice. Chef Dontaye Ball learned to make gumbo from his grandmother and grew the business from a pop up into a storefront. The restaurant also offers takeout, delivery and catering for private and corporate events.
