Stephanie Phares has run Zeeland Street since 1992 out of a former corner store on Perkins Road. The kitchen serves breakfast plus daily lunch plates, sandwiches and salads. It made The New York Times list of notable restaurants in 2024 and won Best Black-owned Restaurant in the 2025 Best of 225 Awards.
