Description
Dooky Chase's started as a sandwich shop and grew into a Creole dining room on Orleans Avenue run by the Chase family, with the late Leah Chase leading the kitchen for decades. It served as a meeting place for civil rights organizers in the 1950s and 1960s and is on the Louisiana Civil Rights Trail. Lunch runs Tuesday to Friday and dinner Friday and Saturday, with reservations through OpenTable.
