Description
The Woodson African American Museum of Florida occupies the former Jordan Park community center in South St. Petersburg, in one of Florida's oldest public housing communities. Opened in 2006 and led by executive director Terri Lipsey Scott, it presents African American art, history and culture through rotating exhibitions; it reopened in July 2026 after renovations with The Underground Railroad Experience and Many Voices, One Nation. Admission to current exhibitions is free.
